 Assignment 2: Mental health poster In this case, I decided not to be subtle about it. I believe mental health is a sensitive topic for all the wrong reasons - there’s still too much stigma around it, too much ignorance regarding its impact on our daily lives and not enough recognition for the psychologists’ work for our wellbeing. With that said, I went for what and how I would like to promote this - in a straightforward way.  This poster was made on Canva, the default background color for any design is white, but I deliberately decided to leave it like that as I associate white with a number of positive things: calmness, peace of mind, health, and even, the chance to start anew. From my own experience, I know firsthand how useful it is to just “empty” your mind during stressful periods, anxiety attacks, or whatever event that triggers an extreme emotion. I will focus on three kay points that make for a deficient school. And for that, I can draw from experience. But before going into detail, I must clarify that most of comes from working at private institutions, and that I’m fully aware that this may not always hold true for public schools. Although I don’t believe that some schools should be considered “better” than others, nor do I think private education should inherently be preferable to public education, I do appreciate certain schools’ efforts to enrich the standard curriculum.
